Bengaluru is set to witness a grand celebration as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the city on August 10 for the first time since Operation Sindoor. During his speech, the PM highlighted the operation’s success in neutralising terrorist hideouts deep across the border, showcasing India’s strength and resolve on the global stage.

The Karnataka BJP, led by State president B.Y. Vijayendra, is preparing to mobilise thousands of party workers to greet the Prime Minister along his route. Mr. Modi’s itinerary includes a helicopter landing at the military ground near Mekhri Circle, followed by a road journey through Mekhri and Chalukya Circles to the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station in Majestic, where he will flag off the Vande Bharat Express connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi.

The day’s programme also features the much-anticipated inauguration of Namma Metro’s Yellow Line, with events planned at South End Circle, Ragigudda, and the Electronic City Metro Station.

Mr. Vijayendra credited former BJP Chief Ministers B.S. Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai for fast-tracking the metro project, noting the festive atmosphere in the city. “The people are eagerly awaiting the Prime Minister’s arrival, and thousands of BJP workers will welcome him at key junctions and Metro stations,” he said.
